Your car takes care of you in all weather conditions to get you safely to where you need to go. Keeping it safe and covered while not in use has been shown to increase the lifespan of your vehicle due to decreased wear and tear from inclement weather and UV damage. In warmer weather, covers can keep the interior of your vehicle up to 30 degrees Fahrenheit cooler than if left uncovered. In below freezing temperatures, covering your vehicle overnight leads to a dramatic decrease in the amount of frost accumulation- which means your vehicle is ready to get going much faster than if left uncovered. Covers also provide protection from dirt, dust, and other grime commonly found on cars stored outside.

They also function as a theft deterrent- the increased time it takes a potential thief to uncover your car before being able to access the inside of the vehicle makes it a less appealing target than one left uncovered. Another benefit of covering your car is keeping prying eyes from seeing what is inside the vehicle itself, further lowering the chances of your car being a target for crime.

How To Cover Your RV:

1

PREPARE YOUR RV TO BE COVERED

You will need a ladder to properly install this cover. Set it up towards the rear of the RV. On the RV exterior: pad any sharp corners, edges, and parts that stick out. Also give the RV a good look to make sure there’s no debris that can get caught between the cover and the vehicle exterior- if trapped, leaves, sticks, or other foreign materials can cause scratches to the finish. Also check the interior of the cover for things that shouldn’t be there. Once you’re sure everything is clear, proceed to step two.

2

GETTING THE COVER ON THE RV

The front and back ends of the cover are indicated with sewn-in tags. Line up the front of the with the back of the RV and pull the middle of it up with you as you climb the ladder. Once on the roof of the RV, continue pulling until you have enough of the front cover to begin bringing it towards the front.

3

ADJUSTING THE COVER FIT

Once the cover is fully on the roof, line up its front corners with the front corners of the vehicle. Working towards the back of the RV, drape the sides of the cover over the edges of the roof. Once you reach the back, position the cover corner opposite the ladder in place on the roof. Head down the ladder while pulling the last corner into place. When you’re back on the ground, secure the rear corners and then the front corners. Adjust sides as necessary. EliteShield™ RV covers feature elasticized hems, an integrated undercarriage strap system, and zippered access panels for easy installation and use- use these features to customize the fit and access allowed by your cover.

4

REMOVING THE COVER AFTER USE

To remove your RV cover, first make sure the cover is dry before storage. Close all zippers and unclip all straps. Follow steps 1 through 3 in reverse, beginning with pulling the cover back out from under the front corners. Once the cover is off of the bottom corners, bring up the back corner while heading up the ladder. Pull and fold the back bottom corner up to the middle of the roof. Repeat with the other back corner, and pull and fold the sides as you move to the front of the RV. Once there, pull up the front corners and bring the edges to the middle of the roof. Head back down the ladder and pull the cover down with you. Once on the ground, roll the folded cover into a neat bundle. Use the included storage bag to protect the cover while not in use.
